DESCRIPTION
Boasting the same accuracy and reliability as large-frame Sig Sauer® handguns, the Sig Sauer P238 Nitron Micro-Compact Semi-Auto Pistol carries comfortably while concealed–ready for rapid deployment of well-placed shots. This 1911-style micro-compact pistol has a single-action design with a thumb safety. The hammer recesses into the beavertail section of the frame to protect it when carrying the weapon on safe, and to avoid hammer-bite while firing. It features a black, hard-coat anodized alloy frame, and a Nitron™ coated stainless steel slide. The pistol operates with a locked-breech, short recoil action (instead of blowback) that locks the action closed. Redesigned sear and trigger return spring prevent spring over-ride of the ejector during assembly. Slide serrations enhance the shooter's ability to pull the slide back for loading and clearing the action. The Sig Sauer P238 Nitron semi-auto pistol comes equipped with 3-dot steel contrast sights and includes a 7-round steel magazine.
