All of our guns are used unless otherwise stated. Description: ***SOLD*** Antique Remington-Whitmore Model 1878 10ga side-by-side shotgun, dated to 1878-1882. This shotgun features the unique Remington-Whitmore "Lifter" opening mechanism, with which the shooter lifts a latch and the action can be opened. The shotgun is fitted with Hepburn rebounding locks with external hammers, both of which are in excellent functional condition. The gun itself shows wear and patina due to age, a more modern buttpad, and some very minor dents in the barrels. The bores have some minor roughness, as shown. The barrels are tightly on-face.
