12mm, #1638, 4 1/2 inch barrel, dull "armory finish", double action, 2 piece walnut grips, only manufactured 2 years (1870-1871)before being replaced by the Model 1873.
Very scarce French revolver, no martial markings so is civilian model?
Condition: strong rifling with patina the length of the barrel, 80% finish overall, excellent wood, excellent mechanically, very good marks.
