BRILLIANT ORIGINAL WW1 WWI COLT U.S. MODEL 1911 MILITARY .45 ACP CAL. PISTOL CIRCA 1918. All original and matching including the original “H P” inspected barrel. Serial numbered in the 226,xxx range. Very fine UNTOUCHED example with much of the original military brush blue finish . Very crisp address and markings as well nice “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” stamp on frame. Has all correct Ordnance inspection stamps including "GHS" (Brig. Gen Gilbert Henry Stewart) in circle. Original wood checkered grips correct as well with small gouge on right flat gives character. Working order and really nice bright bore which is unusual for one of these. Fine original example at a reasonable price. Correct half dipped magazine that came with it. From very old collection and been kept in a safe all these years.
