Description:
Enfield R.F.I (Royal Factory Ishapur) No. 1 Mk. 3, chambered in .303 British, with a 10 round magazine. A classic British bolt action rifle, this particular example was made in 1962 by the Royal Factory in Ishapore, India. Features include: sliding charger guide on bolt head, rear sight slide, incurving protector wings on nose cap, 10 round staggered row detachable magazine with magazine cut-off provision in receiver. The rifle is showing some signs of wear including: scuffs/marks all along the stock, loss of finish on various parts of the action, and what finish there is left has mostly gone to a brown patina. Markings are visible, mainly the No. 1 MK. 3 R.F.I 1962 under the bolt handle, the serial number, and SA I with an upwards arrow on the right side of the stock near the butt plate. There does appear to be some damage on the underside of the stock at the butt plate where a part of the wood looks to have been cut out and then replaced. .303 British
