Here is a NRA good to very good 1866 Winchester rifle with smooth brown finish and mechanically excellent working rifle. It appears to have been in a vise? as the front of the brass frame has indentations on both sides
of the front. Good barrel address with iron nose cap and buttplate. Rifling is present but bore is dark and probably pitted. A nice rifle and reasonablly priced.
I forgot to mention that the swivel below the triggerguard is missing and inlet filled in. That can be removed if you want to put a swivel back in place.
