A Very Scarce & Early Civil War Ames Model 1860 Cavalry Sword Dated 1860 In Very Nice Untouched Condition. All original and complete. Most likely it was Confederate used as most of the Ames 1860 dated Swords went down south during the beginning of the civil war. The sword has a nice blade with clear markings including the 1860 date, inspectors markings, and Ames Manufacturing Markings. The blade has no chips or damage to it. The brass guard and pommel are nice and also untouched. The original grip and wire are fine. The iron scabbard in nice and untouched throughout. This Is A Fine Looking Example Of An Early Civil War Ames Model 1860 Cavalry Sword Dated 1860!
