Description:
Early 1918 UMC Remington 1911 made for WWI troops marching off to the killing fields of France. UMC only produced about 20,000 units for the US Army making it the hardest model to find in matching frame/slide condition. They were only produced in 1918-19. This pistol remains in excellent condition with possible refinish after the war. Tight fitting slide and crisp action with good bore. Major Edward E. Chapman inspector marked frame. Serial number. No.06357 makes this an early 1918 production gun. Holster is an 1918 dated Hoyt model in good condition. Original checkered grips are in very good condition. A rare chance to own a UMC 1911 and a part of WWI US history.
