Description:
Custom Bastogne walnut stock inletted for a Remington Model 30-S and can also be used with a 1917 Enfield action. It comes with inletted swivel bases, a trap grip cap and custom bottom metal as shown in photos, and a Canjar trigger with extended finger lever to accommodate the drop-box magazine.
The stock is supposed to have been made by Phil Fisher, a well-regarded custom maker in Portland Oregon – probably in the 1980s. The workmanship and condition is first rate.
This is a very large stock that would support any cartridge that the action could accommodate. The magazine is 3.640” long enough for the .375 H&H, but could be made longer.
The action that came in this stock had a bolt handle replaced and a small rear tang added. These details would need to be addressed in fitting another action but are not complicated. SOLD
If you plan to build a really heavy-duty rifle on as large a caliber as possible, this stock would provide a heavy-duty foundation and big head start.
