Rare Colt Police Positive .38 Caliber with a 4" barrel and Railway Express Agency markings of RY. EX. AGY. on the back strap. Manufactured by Colt in 1930. Many Colt Police Positives were shipped to the Express Agencies back in the 1920's and 1930's. Railway Express purchased American Railway Express Company in 1929. This is an early production piece that was shipped shortly after that acquisition. Extremely nice collectible Colt that is now 92 years old with plenty of history throughout it's lifetime. Excellent mechanics with tight lock up. Bright bore. 95% original blue finish. Fantastic acquisition for any Colt enthusiast. This offering is a consignment piece.
