The Mossberg® 500® Hunting All-Purpose Field Pump-Action Shotgun is reminiscent of the hunting shotguns used by your grandfathers—reliable performance mated with elegant form. The All-Purpose Field Classic comes with a hardwood stock and blued barrel. A retro ventilated recoil pad is both stylish and functional. Military and law enforcement have accepted the Mossberg 500 pump shotgun for its simplistic design and reliability. Dual action bars prevent binding and twisting while cycling the action. A single, large locking lug locks the bolt into the barrel extension, ensuring a solid steel bolt-to-barrel connection that does not rely on the receiver for any strength. Dual extractors take a solid hold on the shell's rim for reliable extraction. The tang safety is quickly reached with the thumb of either hand, making it naturally ambidextrous. The trigger assembly drops out easily for cleaning and maintenance with the removal of only 1 pin. The twin bead vent rib provides quick sight and target acquisition. The Mossberg 500 functions with the Accu-set choke tube system. 12 Gauge
