Description:
M1898 Krag-Jørgensen rifle chambered in .30-40 Krag. A symbolic US military rifle that was one of the first small caliber, bolt-action, magazine-fed, smokeless powder rifles to serve in the US Army. From 1894 to 1904, the Springfield Armory in Springfield, Mass. produced 500,000 of various model Krags. The serial number of this rifle (446682) dates the production to 1903-1904 and places it toward the end of production before the M1903 rifle was adopted. Overall, in very good condition for a firearm of its age. An excellent opportunity to own an historic firearm that was symbolic of the Spanish-American War.
