I DO NOT THINK IT HAS BEEN ASSEMBLED SINCE FACTORY I just slid it passively for pics then put it right back in the case
super nice stockwood with tiger stripe. not field grade
the lining of the case is some kind of foam backed green felt. the foam has gone to dust so that is the yellowish stuff in the pics. It has not harmed the rifle
I will leave as is and let the collector decide what best to do about relining this case
