MODEL 64 RIFLE IN .30WCF CALIBER, #1553XXX, MADE 1948. This is a nice, correct and unaltered 74 year old Model 64 in classic .30WCF (.30-30) caliber that has seen some honest handling but no abuse or alterations. It is fitted with the hooded front sight- hood intact- and a buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar. The barrel shows good blue with some thinning along the top section ahead of the forend where it look like it rubbed in a rack or scabbard. The mag tube and forend cap retain fine blue with some edge wear and the receiver shows good lightly thinning blue on the sides and bolt with more wear on the edges and bottom section. Excellent stock and forearm with tight wood to metal fit and only the most minute handling marks. Correct checkered steel butt plate, minty bright bore and tight action. Lots of life left in this one!
