Description:
If you are looking for an excellent big bore water fowler/ turkey gun; this is it! Mechanically sound !0 gauge double with 33" barrels, weighing in at 10 3/8 lbs. The gun is fitted with German Silver furniture with nice engraving making it a great collector piece. The locks are beautifully engraved. The big butt ( 2" wide X 5 5/8" high) distributes the recoil very well. Drop is 2 1/2" with a 14 3/8" pull. Wrist is solid, no cracks or repairs. Tubes are straight and smooth, no dents! Ignition is fast! The hardened steel nipples take musket caps. My waterfowl load is 1 3/4 oz of No. 2 Bismuth with 5 Drams ( thats 142 grs) of 1F black shotgun powder. This load has never failed to bring down a big Canada goose over the decoys. Have a good stock of 10 ga wads: nitro cards, filler wads and 8 ga over the shot cards that are included.
