Workmanship and condition is excellent. Gun weighs in at 6 1/2 lbs. Barrels are 28 5/8" with smooth bores, no dents! Nipples are excellent with silver wash plating around the nipple bases where they screw into the breechs. Platimum breech blow out plugs and barrel breech base plates show the quality of this double. Buttplate measures: 1 3/4" X 5 1/2" Drop is 1 3/4" with 14 1/2" of pull. Locks are beautifully engraved: right lock has pheasants, the left has partridges, fish head and scales engraved hammers with fine floral rococco engraving on the faces. Sporting dogs chase birds on the trigger guard and butt tang. The stock is beautifully figured English walnut free of cracks, splits or dents.
