On Hold Sale Pending. Cool circa late 1700's thru early 1800s fairly large flintlock pistol approximately 60 calibers. Could be a pirate or trade pistol. There are no markings visible. There is engraving on the lock and barrel as well as what appears to be gold or brass inlays on the breach near the tang (see photos). The wrist is leather wrapped with old tacks, the metal is a mix of grey brown. The lock is missing its mainspring. A very interesting old flintlock pistol . Barrel length is 11", total length 18".
