1891 Marlin Second Variation in .22 caliber. Again very rare .22 rifle. Reciever is a gray patina with about 10% original finish. Correct and original front and rear sights. Rifle functions nicely. 24" octagon barrel retains 45 to 50% original blue. Very nice barrel address and showing correct patent dates for a Second Variation. Forend is in fair condition, showing normal handling marks. Buttstock shows heavy use, scrapes, mars, dings, and tiny hairline crack near toe (nothing caterstrophic). Dark bore, may clean up but please don't count on it. This rifle is an antique and can be shipped directly to your doorsteps. Very Rare rifle offered at a reasonable price.
