Payment Types Accepted: Description: On Hold Sale Pending is From Flaydermans this appears to be 0ne of a thousand made by Lee firearms Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1865 or 1866. It's I think a 44 caliber rim fire single shot rifle. The dark wood stock is good but has a couple hair line cracks near the tang. This action opens and swings out (see photos) to load. There is a screw missing on the left side and the action does not hold at cock and seems a little loose and needs work. The rifle bore is dark and has not been cleaned. All metal parts are dark brown. The front sight is present but the rear sight may be chipped. The gun is 46 inches and barrel is 31 inches. A interesting rare early cartridge rifle.
