Description:
This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1917 issued to the US military in 1918. The gun is all matching, is "United States Property" marked under the barrel, and has the proper "Eagle Head S20" military acceptance proof on the left side of the frame. The gun has retained about 80% of its finish. Most of the wear comes in the form of thinning along the whole barrel. There is also some thinning on the cylinder. Very minor wear on the high edges, and a light roll mark on the cylinder. Some spotty oxidation and discoloration on the cylinder, both sides of the frame, and on the grip straps. Original lanyard ring is intact. Comes with minty replacement wood grips. The rifling in the bore is a little worn with pin-pricking throughout. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
