Description:
SOLD!
This is a stone mint example of a a rare MAB model R semi-auto, made in France in early-mid 50s. This was the only attempt by MAB to produce a 9mm Para handgun and only about a thousand were made, with some imported into US, before being discontinued. This particular gun is very early 3-digit serial number and is a first year production. It appears to be a special order example with beautiful blued finish throughout but with nickeled small parts and magazine. The gun looks brand new and unfired with no wear evident anywhere. The blueing has a gorgeous plum color with a darker blue on the rear grip strap insert. The bore is mint. Grips are near perfect with a tiny stress crack above the upper screw on the right grip. The nickeled small parts contrast beautifully with the blueing on the gun. The gun is large and hefty - much larger than a Model D. No import marks! This is probably the rarest post-war French semi-auto that one can obtain for a collection and would be impossible to upgrade!
3-day inspection.
FFL or C&R(where legal) required.
