This is a minty example of a rare Walther Mod P.38 sold in the commercial market in the 1940's. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle N" commercial proofs. The gun has retained about 98% of its original finish. There are just hints of somewhat scratchy wear concentrated around the high edges of the slide. While there is next-to-no actual finish loss, there are tiny dots of oxidation on most of the metal parts. Both the slide and frame have a really nice plumb-colored finish (most noticeable on the frame), typical of these commercial guns. It comes with excellent reddish grips and a period-correct military-marked Walther magazine. The bore is near-mint. De-cocker is functional.
