New items added daily! Description: This is an ultra rare DWM Luger rig that was part of a small contract order by the Swedish Air Force. It's estimate that fewer than 1,000 were procured, and only a handful of examples are known. The pistol features the three Swedish crown markings and 'F8' proof on left side of frame. Swedish biplanes of this era displayed the same monogram painted on their wings and fuselage. Records on these pistols are scarce but there are documents noting purchases of at least four lots of varying numbers of Luger pistols in the late 1930's. The gun has about 90% of the original blue remaining with minor holster wear on high edges, but most of the bluing loss on the grip straps. It also retains about 75% of the original straw. Minty bore and grips, which are unmarked. Both magazines, as well as the receiver of the pistol are marked 'GERMANY' for export. Rig is completed by a holster that was made by Carr Fast Company in Boston.
