This is a very nice example of an antique Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, chambered in .31 Caliber and manufactured in 1862. The gun is all matching and has the iconic Colt stagecoach scene on the cylinder. It comes with a nice brass powder horn and a tin of Hick's percussion caps. The gun also comes in a really nice custom-made wood box that is lined with maroon velvet - we don't believe it is original to the gun. Overall, the gun is in very nice condition, retaining the majority of its finish. There is minor wear on the high edges in general. Light scratches and tiny pin-pricking on all surfaces of the barrel. Roll mark on the cylinder. There is spotty discoloration on the brass frame from age. The cylinder is tight. There is a scratch on the bottom of the frame around one of the screws. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips - small chip in the bottom corner of the right grip panel. The bore has decent rifling, but there is spotty oxidation throughout.
