This is an honest example of a 1934 Mauser that was issued to the German Army. This gun would have been produced just before the factory switched over to HSC production, around 1940 or so. It is Eagle/N proofed which helps to determine the date. It is also Nazi test proofed on the back left side of the frame and Eagle/655 proofed, indicating it was issued to the German Army. These guns are fairly rare with an estimate of only ~8,000 procured by the army. It is all matching and has retained roughly 75% of its original high polish finish. Most of the finish loss is along all sides of the slide, but there are some spots of wear on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard. Some very minor pin-pricking around the muzzle. One noticeable scratch on the left side of the frame. Comes with a slightly worn period-correct wood grip and one proper magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is very minor pin-pricking throughout. The magazine release button is a little stiff.
