Description: Serial #44296, 16 GA (2 ¾), 28 inch barrels with solid raised rib and excellent bores choked full and full. This is a 1948 manufactured L.C. Smith side by side Field Grade shotgun marked Fulton, NY. It is in near excellent overall condition retaining about 90-95% of the original blue finish on the barrels with several areas above and just forward of the forearm with small patches of pitting with finish loss around them and overall light surface use marks. One prominent spot on the left tube has a deep pit on the surface but does not extend into the bore which looks near perfect. The frame and side plates show most of the original vibrant case color that is slightly muted on the left side. The walnut stock and forearm are near excellent with some very light surface marks. The LOP is 14 inches over the original butt plate with drops of 1 5/8 and 2 5/8 inches at the comb and heel respectively. A near excellent, late “Elsie" that would be near perfect except for the spots on the barrels. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: L.C.
