Description:
Serial #10710, .22 RF, 3 3/16" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling towards the breech. This is a nice little revolver that has retained 30-40% of the original bright blue, mainly on the right side of the frame, and the balance turned to a smooth, mottled gray patina with mottled surface freckling in spots. The cylinder has a moderate turn-ring, with original blue turning plum-brown remaining. Matching assembly numbers are present on the frame, barrel , and cylinder ("G6"). The rosewood grips, numbered to the gun on the interior, are in good-very good shape, with minor surface marks and small bruises on both panels. The barrel lock-up is still tight with some barely noticeable lateral play in the barrel, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a very good plus example of a 3rd Issue No. 1 S&W, and would make a nice addition to any collection. Antique
