Marlin's Model 39A has had many variants throughout its production, yet are few as distinct as the 39M or "Mountie" variant. Not only can it be easily broken down as its predecessor, but it features a shorter 20" barrel and a straight stock making it ideal for horseback or trekking the mountains while strapped to a pack.
