REDUCED - This is an NRA Antique excellent condition 2nd Model Allin Conversion, assumingly done by Springfield Armory to this Remington manufactured musket. Remington had been a minor contractor to the gov't for Model 1858 muskets and no doubt this particular one was intermingled with the Springfields at the time of conversion. This Cadet length 2 banded rifle remains in wonderful condition as the photos show. Barrel is 31.5 inches in length. Bore and chamber are excellent, and the rifle is in perfect working order. Sling appears to be original or perhaps a later replacement, but it is definitely old. This is the only 2nd Allin conversion we have ever seen on a Remington manufactured musket.....
