On Hold Sale Pending Remington Model 1871 New York State 50-70 caliber rifle. In the early 1870s the state of New York purchased the 50-70 caliber rifle to replace there muzzle loaders. This one is in original 3 band Military configuration. The metal originally in the white now has a light brown patina. The bore is still fairly good with visible riflin. There are a number of unit markings on the walnut stock typical of NY State Rolling block. The mechanics are in good working order with a good ejector. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
