As I've said many times, the Colts and S&Ws made during the days of the Great Depression were some of the finest hand fitted revolvers ever turned out by those companies. Production was limited and only the best gunsmiths and craftsmen were retained to work on their products. Especially the target models were superbly crafted, fit and finished. The year this revolver was made, 1933, was considered one of the worst years of the Depression. this example retains most of the original blue with manly some grip strap wear/thinning and some light edge wear. The Colt medallion checkered walnut grips are excellent and the action is tight with perfect lock up and no cylinder play. Checkered back strap and trigger, recessed chambers in the cylinder all go to make this one a class act inside and out. Bright excellent bore. Superb quality.
