Description:
A nice high grade and rare M. Ogris Ferlach side by side, double triggers, 12 gauge (2 5/8")  hammer shotgun.  According to research this gun was built in 1910 and as you can see it is a very high grade and a rather rare model.  If you have ever wanted to hunt with a hammer gun this might just be the one for you in that it weighs only 5 pounds/15 oz. and it has 27 1/4 inch barrels (choked Mod & Mod.).  Stock dimensions are very shootable, having a cast-off stock with a LOP of 13 3/4 inches front trigger/12 7/8 inches rear trigger to the original bone butt plate, and a 2 3/8 inch drop at heel. .  All finishes on the gun are original and there is some old pitting on the outside of the barrels (bottom towards muzzel) from improper storage years ago, and also in the chamber area.  Barrels are on face and tight with ribs well attached.  Gold inlay and engraving are lovely and the fully checkered forend is beautiful.  The pistol grip stock is fitted with a hard rubbber pistolo grip cap, shadow-line cheekrest, and a serrated bone butt-plate.  This Greener Action/lifter action shotgun is tight and functions perfectly.  This gun originally came with sling swivels, the front was attached (soldered) to the bottom rib, ahead of the forearm, and the rear was screwed into the stock, which has been plugged.  If this were my gun, I would find the correct swivels and replace/restore it back as it was.  A very nice looking gun.      Comes with a leather lined Labarraca bag.                         CURIO & RELIC.                                                                      PRICE:   $2895.00          We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974.                    PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have a Individual FirearmFirearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.                   NOTE:  No additional fee for a Credit Card payment.
