Here is a neat and seldom-seen British contract Ross M-10 Mark IIIB chambered in .303 British. This rifle is in great overall condition and functions 100%. In 1914-1915, the British government chose to purchase a version of the Mk III with a far simpler rear sight known as the "War Office Pattern Sight" and strengthened stock. This rifle appears to have been refinished some time ago, which is commonly seen, and has a "field replacement" stock. This rifle retains all of its original proof markings and there is no visible import mark that we can find. The replacement stock is in excellent overall condition and shows no signs of cracks or repairs. The bore of the 30.5" barrel is frosted but still shows strong rifling for its age. The "war office pattern" rear sight is still intact but has lost its elevation adjustment spring. All the factory controls function 100% and the straight-pull action is buttery-smooth. This Ross M-10 also comes with an original Ross rifle bayonet. The bayonet is in good overall condition but has been lightly sharpened. The bayonet still retains its original grips and all of its original proofs and markings. Don't miss your opportunity to add this neat rifle to your military collection!
