Description:
Remington No.1 Rolling Block Sporting Rifle chambered in .40-50, manufactured between 1875 and 1880. This rifle features the immediately recognizable Rolling Block action, built into a sporting rifle configuration, with solid walnut furniture, a blued steel cap on the forend, heavy octagonal barrel, sporting style sights. The rifle is in great working order with a smooth and tight action, as well as a decent bore, with only small rough patches. One small fracture can be seen in the forend by the metal tip, and a snother small one can be seen by the upper tang on the receiver. The barrel was most likely shortened to 26" from a 28" or 30" original length. Please refer to the photos for overall condition. An increasingly scarce Remington collectible! No FFL required.
