Chapuis Progress REX Artisan Series 3 SxS double rifle with a second set of 28 gauge shotgun barrels. This gun was specifically designed as a small frame for, 28 gauge and the rifle barrel.
This combo has 21 5/8” long rifle barrels chambered for .30-30 Winchester and 28” 28 shotgun barrels. The shotgun barrels have a solid rib and factory installed choke tubes. The rifle barrels have a fixed rear sight and an adjustable front sight. Also include are scope mounts. Both sets have selective ejection, and each set of barrels has its own forearm with Deeley style fastener.
The rounded receiver has side plates and entire surface is covered in fine game scene and scroll engraving with Roe Deer on the left, Wild Boar on the right and Red Stag on the bottom. The finish on the frame, trigger guard and grip cap is “coin”.
The stock and forearms are cut from a gorgeous piece of Turkish Walnut and all three pieces are finely checkered. The pistol grip stock has a raised, shadow-line cheek piece for a right-hand shooter. The LOP is 15” over the factory recoil pad with 1 ½” DAC and 2 5/8” DAH.
Condition wise this gun is a one owner and was handled much more that it was ever shot! 98%+ barrel blue; 98%+ coin finish and 97-98% wood finish, with just a few very light handling marks.
Factory luggage case. The gun weighs 5 lbs. 15 oz. with shotgun barrels and 6 lbs. 11 oz. with the rifle barrels.
