Description:
This International Harvester Model U.S. Rifle M1 Garand is a right hand U.S. Military semi-auto rifle in .30-06 Sprg. Cal. "Gap " letter markings. All marked parts marked IHC, see photos.
Of the more than 5 million Garands produced for the military, just 337,623 were made by IHC and most of those were sent overseas to U.S. allies in the 1950s and 60s, making the number in circulation in the U.S. limited.
It has a blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The butt stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is conventional two piece hardwood. Serial Number 4546489 (1954). Stock shows a couple of repair areas. Fully servicable, functional and shootable.
Comes with hard plastic padded case, lock, military marksman leather sling, USGI issued cleaning kit.
