SCARCE 1 of 17,000 Made During Production Run
Here we present a Cased Pair of antique Remington Saw Handle Deringers (also known as the Vest Pocket Pistol), made from 1865-1888. This brace is chambered in the .22 rimfire cartridge Vest Pocket. They have been engraved post-factory with simple scrolls and fitted with ivory grips.
Invented by William H. Elliot, only about 17,000 of these guns were made in total over the 23 years production run. These single shot pistols are very simple in mechanics. Place the hammer in the most rearward position and load a cartridge. The hammer also acts as the loading gate and breach block.
The overall condition is very good. The actions are excellent. The barrels have been bored smooth. The grips are in fine shape. The case is fitted and in fine condition, and comes with key.
