Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this example of a Remington made Springfield Model 1903A3 rifle, serial number 4091950. With a barrel dated 1943 with RA (Remington Arms) and flaming bomb clearly visible, the stock bears the proof mark P, AAZ and RIA, both the bolt handle and stock are marked with the last four serial number digits- 1950. All metal parts including the action, magazine base plate, trigger guard and barrel bands are parkerized and in excellent condition with a minimum of handling marks. The furniture is Remington’s ‘Scant’ stock profile with the Partial pistol grip produced by them before changing over to the more common C type grip. The mechanics of this rifle are in perfect working order with a notably smooth action, magazine cutoff and two stage trigger breaking cleanly at 3.2 lbs. The bore has two grooved rifling and is in mirror condition.
