Description:
Carl Gustafs Model 38 Short Rifle, chambered in 6.5 MM Swedish, with a 5 round internal magazine. A fine example of Swedish craftsmanship, this Model 38 short rifle, made in 1915, has several interesting features. The horizontal bolt indicates infantry use. The brass marking disc shows bore size and condition. The rotary disc was an alternative for the usual slide elevation adjustment mechanism commonly found at the time, and it was made by the Metallverken firm as can be clearly seen. Almost all the serial numbers appear to match along with the proof marks on various pieces of the rifle. Lastly the rifle was made by the Carl Gustaf City Rifle Factory as indicated by the words Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori and the crowned seal can be easily seen above that. 6.5 SWEDE
