Description:
CAPTURE MAUSER MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 7434. Bbl. 23 5/8". Import marked on right side of bbl. Original serial numbers match on receiver & bbl. Bolt & bolt sleeve have been electro penciled to match. Receiver is marked on top "duv" "41" "X" Russian capture marking nice crisp lettering. Left receiver rail is marked "Mod. 98". Receiver ring & bbl. marked on left side w/ German eagle proofs. Bbl. retains eagle "214" acceptance marks over chamber. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. Inverted V front sight w/ protective hood. Cleaning rod & bayonet bar are present. All milled furniture except cup type buttplate. Laminated stock set. Buttstock marked on the left side w/ circular Russian overhaul mark behind steel disassembly disk. Buttstock marked on right side w/ ".TRZ" near buttplate. Reproduction German style leather sling. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework type finish w/ wear & scattered handling marks. Metal has 85% arsenal rework black finish. Extractor has notable plum coloration. Good shiny bore w/ sharp lands but w/ scattered fine pitting in throat area.
