Original ( not repro) WW2 Nazi Feldgendarmerie (Military Field Police) Gorget in excellent condition.
The phosphorescent paint on the Eagle, the lettering, and the buttnons still glows in the dark after exposure to light. Features the original cardboard backing and complete functional neck chain.
The Feldgendarmerie performed such duties as traffic control, guarding of supply and ammo dumps, and local patrol service. Their units ranged from company to battalion and served on all fronts from Europe to North Africa. The gorget was to be worn at all times while on duty.
