Description:
Here is a very nice older Marlin in fine condition. It was made in either 1905 or 1906 as 1905 was the year 1893 was changed to 93 and new serial numbers started. Bore is in excellent shape. Some of the varnish has worn off the wood but mostly on the fore-end. Metal is excellent with lots of casehardening showing but faded colors. The barrel dovetail is empty as the rifle sports a very nice Lyman receiver sight (Number 41, I think) and a Lyman #4 front sight with an ivory bead. I have not shot this rifle but everything functions as it should. A nice collector item, a good woods deer rifle, or a a competitor in a  lever action shooting match while growing in value. Needs to go to either an ffl or C&R. Shipping and insurance via priority mail included in the price,
