We offer you a “First Year Production” Remington Wingmaster Special Field “Upland” Lightweight English Stocked 20 Gauge Pump Action Shotgun.
The Remington Model 870 Lightweight Special was introduced by Remington in 1984. This one wears the barrel date code of “WE” which is August of 1984 making it a first year production gun. The left side of the barrel is marked “*20 GA.* LW FOR 2 3/4 OR 3 INCH SHELLS”, “MOD”, with a proof, “WE” date code and “33”. The left side of the receiver is marked “Remington MODEL 870LW SPECIAL” followed by the serial number “W172232U“. The serial number prefix of “W” was first used in 1984 and the “U” suffix indicates a lightweight 20 gauge magnum frame. So this makes the shotgun configuration all original. The right side of the barrel is marked with a warning above “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC., ILION, N.Y. U.S.A.” with magnaflux proof, test marks and “R.E.P.”.
It wears a 21 inch vent rib barrel with a modified choke and two factory beads. The bore is in excellent condition with no issues. It has a 3 inch magnum chamber so it will handle 2 3/4 or 3” shells. The straight English style butt stock has some nice figure and a factory 14 inch length of pull. Both stocks are in excellent condition with a few minor use marks. The bluing on the shotgun is also in excellent condition with a few minor use marks as well. This is a very hard to find 870 variation that is in very high condition.
This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $50. This rifle will be shipped in a double walled foam lined cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe.
