Soviet Russian Capture “X” from WWII
Here we present a World Wars P.08 German Luger Pistol, made circa 1916 in Germany. This piece was made during World War I (1914-1918) and continued to see use during World War II (1939-1945). This piece is marked with the “X” on the left side of the receiver, just forward of the trigger side plate. Like other Russian captured Lugers, this one has been refinished black. It shows evidence of much use.
Strong action. Good bore with nice rifling. Both grips are solid and show lots of use. The numbers do not match. “1916” dated and Imperial German proofed. Import marked.
