Description:
Guns Listing ID: 564907

This Deluxe Winchester 1873 rifle was engraved by John Ulrich 134 years ago. It is a custom ordered rifle engraved with gold plated receiver and trim. There is wear to the gold plating, from use, but this rifle was well cared for.

The wood is the finest I have ever seen on a Winchester and the fit and finish were perfectly accomplished by the Winchester craftsmen in 1888, when it was made.

The most wear is on the butt plate and the receiver covers. This is complete with factory folding peep sight and a folding front hood site. For a rifle of this age, this is in lovely condition showing it was used and cherished. Accompanying the rifle is the Winchester letter from the Cody Museum, the keeper of Winchester factory archives. I have many additional photos for those seriously interested.

This rifle was a proud possession of a man who was well heeled both financially and outfitted. It is an heirloom that can be used, kept clean and passed down for generations. Winchesters of this quality and condition are rarely offered outside of of houses and have brought 6 figure prices for a number of years.

There are no more being made and quality Winchesters have always held value and increased over time.

The insurance for shipping this rifle will be discussed with the buyer and Guns for the protection of all concerned.
