CIVIL WAR BELGIAN COLT BREVETTE .36 CAL. 5 ½” OCTAGON PERCUSSION POCKET NAVY REVOLVER WITH “ADDRESS U.S. COL. COLT LONDON” BARREL ADDRESS CIRCA 1860’S. All original in as found attic condition. All matching except backstrap which is early replacement. Cylinder with engraved “NAVAL ENGAGEMENT” scene. Frame stamped “LON/DON” and trigger guard stamped “COLT”. Barrel and cylinder with fake London proofs as well as Belgian proofs. Original wood grips with piece missing at toe of right flat. Action frozen with old rust and grime. Looks like was stored in a barn but will clean up much better. Civil War era and many exported from Belgium to many countries including America.
