RARE WALTHER SPORTMODELL MODEL IV OR 4 .22 HEAVY BARREL SINGLE SHOT TARGET RIFLE, CIRCA 1920'S. Serial number "139XX". 25 1/2 factory bull barrel with mint rifling. Factory sling swivels. Rear ramp sight removed to accommodate fully adjustable peep in factory dovetailed receiver just forward of bolt. Bolt has interesting turn-knob safety with red and white indicators. Original buttstock with finger groove forend, wrist checkering and original factory Walther banner buttplate. Receiver with Walther Banner over "Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis". These are supposed to be tackdrivers and judging from craftsmanship this one is no different.
