SOLD awaiting paymentListing a Enfield .303 rifle of mine, I've several and am no expert on these but collected a few military rifles, this one I believe was British Indian Army Issue, built in Ishapore, India in I think 1940 and Carry's a FR stamp meaning factory repair. Has folding sight ahead of chamber my other Enfield has peep on rear of reciever..the metal is all nice, not pitted , finish seems original. Walnut wood, blued finish , some of these early rifles are very Collectabile in this condition. Has the charging guide topside to add ammo with out removing ten shot clip. The unit marking disc located on right side of butt stock is missing. Ammo is readily available for these old Enfields.
The bore is perfect as is the wood.I think it's all original. I've loaded and shot rifle more than once . These old gal's are shooters.Has a brass buttt plate with trap door. I don't have a bayonet for this one. It's I think called a short magazine rifle. The leather sling was on it since I acquired it several years back.
