Description: Stone cold gorgeous high original condition Grade 3 Colt Model 1883 12ga. These guns, made on an Anson and Deeley design, were said by noted legendary author, R.L. Wilson to be the finest doubles ever made in America and this gun is indeed exceptional in every regard. Made as a 12ga with 30" Finest Damascus barrels, checkered splinter forend with case hardened and engraved release. The case hardened action is beautifully engraved with birds and dogs on both sides and scroll engraved in about 65% coverage. Blued trigger guard with game scene on bow and SN at tang. Stocked with fine hard English Walnut that has ball grip and original Colt logo hard rubber buttplate. The gun remains in super all original "investment grade" untouched condition. The barrels are excellent with more than 95% bold original damascus pattern. The action retains about 80% original case color. Trigger guard retains more than 80% beautiful original high polish blue. The stocks are sound, and excellent with nearly all of their original finish and only very minor handling marks. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. This is truly an exceptional Colt.
