A.H. Fox XE Grade 12Ga. 30” Barrels, Straight grip stock.
Serial # 23695, Date of mfg. 1916. Stock dimensions: 14 ½” LOP, 1 ½” DAC, 2 1/8” DAH. Perfect modern dimensions. Chokes: Right barrel .038 Full, Left barrel .041 Fuller. Chambers: 2 5/8”. The chokes and chambers have survived unchanged.
This stunning Fox XE Grade came to us totally restored. The work was performed circa 2005 by CT. Shotgun mfg. co. It remains today in unfired 100 % ++ condition. It comes complete in a maker’s type oak & leather trunk case, and dust cover with all accessories. The gilded game birds, and traditional trademark Fox on the floor plate give this gun an air of providence, and uniqueness not often seen.
This Fox balances on the hinge pin, and swings like a dream! If you ever thought of, or dreamed of walking into your local gun shop back in the day and placing an order for a new high grade Fox, look no further! This Fox XE is ready for a new life, and a new journey. A fitting companion to accompany you afield for many seasons to come. An heirloom to pass down from generation to generation.
Note: this is not an upgraded gun. It is an original XE Grade that has under gone a total, and full resteration inside and out. The former owner (now deceased) had added some personal touches. The tasteful gilded subjects, and a very handsom skeleton but plate.
